Dr. Coleman and the staff of Coleman Family Dental Care are grateful to provide family dental care to our friends and neighbors.  We strive to meet and exceed expectations of healthy mouths and smiles.  We enjoy our partnered relationships with our patients and appreciate their loyalty. The doctor's training and experience, along with the assistance and of her staff, ensures that our patients receive the best, most up-to-date care. We offer the following procedures:

Cleanings and Exams

Regular dental checkups with periodontal exams and especially oral cancer screenings are an important part of our practice and should be a top priority for all families. We stress these checkups as a means of early detection of problems that lead to dental cavities, tooth loss, and periodontal disease and even deadly cancers.

Children

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child visit the dentist by the time his or her first tooth appears - around the first birthday. This first visit allows for healthy habits to be established early on. It is an opportunity for discussions about proper use of fluoride (which is highly specific to each individual child), when to introduce fluoridated toothpaste and floss, what to do in case of emergencies and much more.  This information helps a parent to be more confident and proactive with their child's oral health.  We love to meet our patients' children and answer any questions that you, as a parent, might have.

Metal Free Fillings

Safe, advanced (BPA free) tooth colored materials can improve the look of your smile and strengthen your teeth as well.

Complete dentures replace all the teeth, while a partial denture fills in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevents other teeth from changing position.

Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth's function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. When decay in a tooth has become so advanced that large portions of the tooth must be removed, crowns are often used to restore the tooth.

Dental implants can eliminate the need for loose fitting removable dentures or cutting down healthy teeth for fixed bridgework. They can be more easily achieved by staging the work so it does not have to happen all at once but rather at a pace that is comfortable for you without compromising optimal function and esthetics.

Whitening procedures have effectively restored the smile of people with stained, dull, or discolored teeth.

Non-Surgical Gum Care

Periodontal disease, not cavities, is the leading cause of tooth loss today. With early diagnosis, simple non-surgical gum care can help you avoid costly, painful problems. Many patients' insurance programs now allow for 4 visits (2 exams, 4 cleanings) per year. Check with your insurance company to see if you have this benefit.

Cosmetic Dentistry

The area of cosmetic dentistry is broad and includes teeth whitening to correct stained, discolored, or dull-looking teeth, bonding or veneers to close gaps or repair chipped, cracked or worn teeth, implants and crowns and bridges can replace missing teeth, and old and unsightly fillings can be replaced by tooth-colored fillings. All of these procedures can give you a boost of confidence with your new smile!

We offer dental treatment for children, teens, and adults.
